Tax, Accounting and Consulting
About Our Services
What does the phrase “about our services” mean at Hessling CPA? Is it the standard tax and bookkeeping services that most firms provide or something more? Since the about our services section is where firms first attempt to differentiate, we will do the same. However, because we have the confidence to prove it, we will be brief.
We keep things simple to focus on why we were hired. Tax and accounting is complicated. Nevertheless, individuals and small business owners often believe the cost of such services outweighs the benefits. Consequently, this often results in tax audit. When you rely on a professional with the experience that runs the full spectrum, there are no gaps. Thus, if we either cannot or do not handle your issue directly, we are uniquely qualified to counsel you on what is needed.
Our diverse range of skills, experience and credentials is a rare blend. Accordingly, we are able to look beyond what is in the books to understand the true nature of the issue. This allows us to tailor our approach to the client’s particular situation. In addition, a focus on direct and open communication provides you with the best opportunity to separate the signal from the noise.
Whether you are an individual, trust, or a multi-state business, we have what you need to move forward in an affordable manner.
Hessling CPA guides you through the impasse.

John hessling cpa, jd
Owner John Hessling is a Certified Public Accountant in both Arizona and Wisconsin with twenty years of experience in tax and accounting services. In short succession, he passed the CPA exam and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School. John then passed the Illinois Bar exam and practiced tax law in Chicago, whereupon he decided to leave the legal field behind and move to the Southwest.
Since John is both a CPA and JD, he has a unique perspective on tax that most do not possess. Far too often, there is a lack of communication between attorneys and CPAs. Attorneys draft their vision and leave the CPAs to figure out the details. This lack of understanding often leads to confusion and the one who pays for it is the client. John’s insight allows him to understand, visualize, create, implement and then report on all aspects of tax and accounting matters. Furthermore, it also allows him to pick up the pieces midstream to analyze both partially implemented plans and improperly filed returns to best resolve the issues as needed.
In addition, John is an avid backcountry hiker, taekwondo practitioner, family man and self-proclaimed regular guy. Thus, what more needs to be said!
